Charles AtkinsCharles is recognised as a leader in the field of defendant healthcare work and is described in Chambers 2008 as having 'built a strong reputation in the field and is considered to be at the forefront of clinical negligence advice'. He worked in the Claims & Regulatory department of national firm RadcliffesLeBrasseur for 14 years. He was a partner for nine of those years. In 2005 he became a partner at Bevan Brittan (formerly Bevan Ashford), heading up the London Healthcare team. 2007 saw Charles join Gordons. His expertise is in defending claims of clinical negligence, defending clinicians in disciplinary proceedings, and undertaking regulatory work on behalf of practitioners before the GMC and GDC. He also provides judicial review and healthcare advisory services. Charles conducts his own advocacy when representing clients at Inquests.
