UPDATE – Covid-19

The General Dental Council have issued guidance as to how they are handling the ongoing COVID 19 crisis. In respect of fitness to practise hearings the GDC have stated that “almost all” fitness to practise hearings have been postponed. However, in a small number of cases where there is an immediate and perceived risk to patient safety they will be holding urgent hearings remotely.

The General Dental Council continue to investigate cases as part of their legal duty to the public. The Regulatory Team at Gordons are fully operational and continue to advise dental professionals as well as attend any hearings remotely throughout the current COVID-19 Crisis. If you wish to speak to one of our Regulatory Team for advice on any areas of healthcare regulation, contact our mainline on 01483 451900 and you will be put through to a member of our Regulatory Team. Alternatively, you can email Richard Creamer on richard@gordonsols.co.uk or Iain Pickering on iain@gordonsols.co.uk and one of our team will contact you.

In addition to GDC fitness to practise investigations we also assist dental healthcare professionals in other GDC matters including:

  • Registration
  • Specialist registration
