Shelley assists healthcare professionals in defending claims brought in the High Court or the Count Courts, including claims in negligence and discrimination.
With over 10 years’ experience in claims, she is familiar with all stages of the litigation process including undertaking initial investigations, gathering relevant disclosure, identifying and interviewing witnesses and preparing statements, instructing experts, settlement negotiations and trial. She also has experience in disciplinary proceedings, including before the General Dental Council, General Medical Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council. This enables her to advise clients where there are potential regulatory issues alongside a claim.
