Who We’ve Helped

We’ve advised on a wide range of legal issues in the influencer and digital marketing space.

Here are just a few examples of our recent work:

Advising influencers on a contractual dispute & reputation management

Advising two social media influencer clients on a multifaceted dispute involving their new start-up. The influencers, having previously worked and signed contracts in their own personal capacities as “content creators” for a company offering similar services, faced allegations of breach of confidentiality and “passing off”. Payments due to the influencers under their personal contracts with this company were also being withheld. Ultimately, we were able to secure a favourable settlement which also provided financial security to the start-up’s future and protected the influencers’ wider reputation.

Online defamation – social media reviews

Acting for a celebrity surgeon with a large social media following, who had been the target of defamatory reviews left on one of the world’s largest technology company’s platforms, causing considerable loss to his business. The matter was settled pre-action.

Contractual dispute involving photography and media rights

Advising and acting for a client in relation to breach of contract for photography services provided to an influencer. The dispute was preventing the client from appearing on a well-known business TV show. The case was settled pre-action and also encompassed copyright and defamation issues.

Agency agreement review

Reviewing and advising on an agency agreement for an influencer, ensuring the terms of the contract correctly reflected the terms of the collaboration between the brand, influencer and the agency.

Influencer contract drafting for hospitality

Advising on and drafting an influencer agreement for a high-end hotel group.
