Emma graduated from Newcastle University in 2017 with a degree in Law (LLB). She then went on to attain a distinction in the Legal Practice Course and an MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law, Guildford.
Emma joined our Guildford office in August 2018 as a paralegal. Emma qualified as a Solicitor in March 2021 into our Healthcare Department where she has been assisting on a number of clinical negligence claims defending doctors and dentists both on a private basis and on behalf of a leading medical defence organisation.
Emma has been named under the Leading Associates in the most recent Legal 500 rankings for clinical negligence.

Emma primarily assists with defending clinical negligence claims in the High Court and County Courts on behalf of a leading Medical Defence Organisation. Emma's cases involve issues including cauda equina syndrome, cancer and brain injury, but she also has experience with claims involving allegations of discrimination.
Notable Cases:
- Assisting in successfully defending two GPs at a complex liability only trial in the High Court, securing a discontinuance of a potentially significant claim following submission of a robust Letter of Response and settlements in others claims for amounts far below the pleaded value of the claims.
